Alaska Studio has been on the same site since 1977. That is before some of our present clients were even born! The brain child of Pat Collier of the Vibrators’ Although Pat has long moved on to other projects his vibes in the studio are still felt up to the present day. Many big artists who began here working with him, regularly return before a big gig to rehearse and soak up the Alaska vibe for good luck! With Primal Scream & MC5 dropping by in July this year! Alaska Studio has seen many new bands start their careers here. With rehearsals in our rehearsal rooms, leading to great demos and albums made in our recording studio. We have refurbished and the new recording studio is now up & running!! We are working with some great engineers and producers and things are going really well. The new equipment and the clasic gear that we kept, work great together! We are working with some great artists and last year we spent lots of time recording Roots Manuva’s latest album Slime & Reason’!! Which is outstanding! Proud to be part of that!! 2009 we recorded the vocals for Mercury prize winning album ‘Speech Therapy’, Speech DeBelle which was great! She is such a fresh and talented artist. Also this year we have been recording: Sheep on Drugs’, Blanco’, Dead Silence’, Pets in Heaven’, and many more as yet unsigned bands and artists. Demos and professional albums are all produced with the same passion and professional attention to quality that Alaska is known for. The best of old Alaska mixed with the new & improved version! Alaska has come of age! Punk meets Hip Hop meets Rock meets Indi!!! WE LOVE IT ALL!!!
