Digging Your Scene

I am a composer/producer looking to write for different media. I am currently completing my final year at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, specializing in composition and production.

I have had experience in writing for dance & theatre:

I co-wrote the soundtrack for the dance production ‘Seven’ alongside composer Jack Phillips, this project was overseen by Nitin Sawhney. The score combined a mixture of western classical music, eastern music (rooted from India, Japan & Eastern Europe) and Live Electronics.

I also oversaw, alongside Jack Phillips, the performance of the soundtrack which involved the conducting of a choir, directing of a live percussion section and cueing of electronics.

I have composed a score for the Post-Modern theatre piece ‘Bruised’. The Score was written for Alto Saxophone and Live electronics.

As both of the aforementioned scores were written to a brief, this is something I am comfortable with.

I also have a background in Live music, having played the guitar for 16 years, played gigs all across the UK and written for various musical collectives from alt-rock, hip-hop, Jazz to Dance.

I am especially interested in writing music for Film and Video, but enjoy and have experience in writing music for Dance, Theatre and Live Performance as well.
