The Farm (Music) • Established and managed independent record label Produce Records 1990-93 • 1990-93 composed and marketed successfully a No.1 Album, 3 Top Ten Hits, 5 top20’s and 2 additional albums competing and in some cases out selling all of our contemporise. Appearing 8 times on Top Of The Pops, • 1993-95, major recording contracts with Sony U.K & Asia, Warner Bros America and the rest of the world excluding UK & Asia • Additional, 83-compilation albums • Produce Records continued to develop other Artist such as People Get Ready, 8 productions and Eight Ball a New York Dance Label, Establishing Produce as an underground Label with credibility and notoriety. • In 1990, The Farm produced a documentary called a Short Film about Chilling, a youth culture diary about dance culture on the Island of Ibiza. This being screened on channel 4, went on to have the highest viewing figures that year for that type of Docu-pop, and was a fore- runner of what is now known as, fly on the wall reality TV. The Critically acclaimed author Kevin Sampson used the story of The Farm warts and all, as the main subject matter for the book Powder. |
