| Biography |
Actor , Song Lyricist and SingerFrazer Kingdom-Barrett was born in Luton 1972. Having played in School productions, after school he was picked out from his work place to star in a wedding video to promote Winchester City, (Hampshire) he had well and truly caught the acting bug. Frazer studied Acting/performing at Derby University, but didn’t complete his degree. He appeared as the gentleman and young husband in Arthur Schnitzler’s La Ronde in his final year. In 1996, Frazer moved to London to pursue an Acting career, which saw him appear in Carpe Jugulem (At Riverside Studios, London and Glastonbury Assembly Rooms) (1998) as Beastility Carter. Carpe Jugulum was adapted to stage from Terry Pratchett’s Book. In 2000, he starred in a new play called Bitter Coffee (At The Diorama, Gt Portland Street, London) as the Landlord, receiving rave reviews in TNT Magazine. In 2001, Frazer acted in It’s your move Lord Knott (Tufnell Park, London), playing Adagio the surreal and stoned chess player. From 2003, Frazer decided that his heart was in music and hung up his thespian boots. Taking songwriting lessons from his then girlfriend, he picked up some great tips and decided to continue pursuing his music passion. In 2006, Frazer bought his first electric guitar and started learning basic chords. Later that year, he met Carol who taught him everything he knows about songwriting. Thanks to this special lady, Frazer was able to write song material to his hearts content. It wasn’t until he moved up to Manchester in 2008, that he met Aminder who inspired him to compose a song. After 3 months of practicing on the guitar and writing a song called Bank Holiday, there was his first track. Aminder agreed to play guitar and record/produce this track, whilst Frazer sang. Aminder and Frazer collaborated on another shorter experimental track which describes what it’s like to write a song. Aminder offered his creative piano playing (With borrowed Drum/bass from Reason Apple Mac package) music to Frazer’s inventive lyrics and singing. In 2009, Frazer met James at their work interviews, they quickly formed a bond around music. They started to jam together, Frazer wanted to write a song about his Stepfather. So James came up with the superb guitar riff, Frazer had written his lyrics and they spent about 6 weeks working on the song, recording in James’s basemount. In March this year, Frazer produced the track and presented it to his stepfather. He is now looking forward to finding a new collaborator to work with and recording his debut album. In January 2010, Frazer had written some lyrics and worked with a very talented producer Alan @ Airtight Studios in Manchester who composed, arranged and produced all the music on my new track called New Year. Frazer is part of a record label in Bournemouth and would like to work with musicians in Brighton to start gigging. |
